The Rest of My Music

Folk singer and songwriter Jenni Mansfield Peal has sung and played musical games with audiences of children for over twenty years, both in Texas and overseas. Playing guitar, mountain dulcimer, and accordion, she shares her extensive knowledge of southern American and Texas folksongs as well as original compositions to get kids ages 18 months to twelve years singing dancing, and playing along. Active participation is the key, and Jenni provides children with many fun, no-pressure ways to participate, including sticks and beanbags, rhythm instruments, song activities and dance. Degreed and certified in special education and the education of the blind and visually impaired, Jenni makes sure that every child is able to participate and share in the joy of music. Jenni knows the importance of allowing children to experience new concepts from the inside out, starting with body movement and physical contact with the instruments.
